When equipped with this system, the Sky Arrow allows acquisition of digital images, in the visible spectral range as well as in the infrared bands, thus allowing surface temperature monitoring.
Post-processing of the collected data can provide the following information:
- Crops monitoring data integrated in a GIS (Geographic Information System);
- Geo-referenced maps of wildfires and plant diseases;
- Geo-referenced mapping of burnt areas;
- Agricultural production and crop quality.
Image post-processing is performed with a special equipped workstation, and dedicated software for the management and presentation of the data collected, with a specific trained operator for data interpretation and analysis.

- Digital multi-spectral camera capable of taking high resolution digital images;
- Digital thermal camera capable of taking high-resolution images in the infrared range;
- High-precision GPS capable of providing a/c three-dimensional position and speed data;
- Laser altimeter, capable of measuring the aircraft distance from the ground;
- Computer for storage of collected images and data.
The installation of the "LASER SCANNER" on board (sector D) allows:
the aerial monitoring for land morphology and particularly for coastal and river areas and damping sites, mapping with natural disaster's damage evaluation, carried out by new generation digital system.
