3I was founded as an aircraft industry in Trieste (Italy) on April 4, 1947 under the name of METEOR S.p.A..

Nowadays 3I is holding managing a number of italian and international Companies active in the aeronautical, electronics, scientific research fields and performing aerial work fields. They are:
